Relationship Between Alcoholism and Depression



Alcoholism is a disorder that occurs due to too much consumption of alcoholic products. Alcoholism disorder shows the same symptoms and signs that are required in the diagnosis of major depression. People generally feel that alcohol is an antidepressant and gets them respite from depression, yes it does give you respite initially, but after few hours it again puts you in the same or even worse state of depression.
