Monitoring Self-talk to Manage Depression



This is a "how to" article. The theory behind cognitive behaviour therapy for depression includes the idea that we make ourselves miserable by the things we say to ourselves. There is obviously room for philosophical controversy concerning the notion that we can control our own attitudes and thoughts and thereby our happiness or contentment. But this is not an erudite critique.
