Depression and Getting Quality Sleep
If you suffer from or have suffered from depression you will know that it disrupts sleep. Some of this disruption is due to the alteration in brain chemistry that happens with depression. In addition to the brain chemistry disruption there are the worries that often accompany depression that prevent relaxation. Without sufficient relaxation it is difficult to fall asleep. It is generally recommended that we get six to eight hours restful sleep per night.
